Lean Culture
From Tools to Culture

Established in 1972, Custom Castings specializes in the manufacture of high-quality permanent mold aluminum and zinc alloy castings. Employees needed to be cross trained and SMED and TPM needed to be a focus within the cells. To improve, a continuous improvement culture needed to be seeded and nurtured. On this tour you will learn about this journey and see cellular manufacturing, automation, one-piece flow, visual management and visual KPIs.
