MCI is North America’s motor coach leader, building luxury and commuter coaches, including the brand new zero-emission battery-electric coach. On this tour you will see an overview of the manufacturing cycle from single-part production and assembly to the release of a fully operational coach. The tour will highlight a few specific OpEx processes from New Flyer Industries that reinforce cross functional team collaboration and learning. You will see cell teams focused on enhanced associate support, the Livebus Oracle-based system used to share real-time information, the Andon system, and the 5S process for workplace organization, all aimed at assisting associates to perform their role safely and effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
