DESCRIPTION :

HME manufactures communication systems for the quick service restaurant and other industries. Beginning the Lean journey in 2003, HME has experienced many of the benefits Lean can bring. In spite of these accomplishments, the leadership at HME saw the need to improve and heighten the level of employee engagement. In August of 2018 HME adopted People-Centric Leadership as the core of a new leadership development program. Learn about the deployment strategy, mistakes made along the way and how People Centric Leadership has impacted the engagement of the entire workforce.

Mel Burt-Gracik, Training and Development Specialist

Mel Burt-Gracik has spent 17 years in Leadership Development.  Certified in Gallup’s StrengthsFinder, trained in 12: The Elements of Great Managing & the Q12 Employee Engagement Survey, she helps supervisors learn and implement the skills top managers possess.  In addition to StrengthsFinder, Mel holds certifications in Meyers Briggs Type Indicator, Emotional Intelligence EQ-i & EQ360, and is a Board Certified executive coach.  Her education includes a Masters in Higher Education Administration and a Master of Divinity degree.  Mel is the Training and Development Specialist at HME.
