Jill Isbister, Senior Director, Employment, Income, and Health Supports
Jill is the Senior Director of the Employment, Income and Health Supports branch within the Department of Families. She oversees 150 employees who deliver the Employment and Income Assistance program within Winnipeg as well as several smaller financial assistance programs for all Manitobans. Jill has worked within the Government of Manitoba for 20 years primarily as a policy analyst and then manager of policy teams. In 2018, she made the transition to a director level overseeing operations and client service delivery teams and become a champion of, continuous improvement within government.

Brent Timmerman, Former Assistant Deputy Minister, Capital Projects Planning and Delivery division
Brent Timmerman is Vice-President of Operations at MacDon Industries and until recently Assistant Deputy Minister of Capital Projects Planning and Delivery within the department of Labour, Consumer Protection, and Government Services. Prior to this, Brent held several senior leadership roles within the Department of Families. Brent has 15 years of experience in the aerospace industry in various engineering and leadership roles and has spent the past 10 years with the Government of Manitoba in different leadership roles. Brent is well known throughout government for deploying a leadership and employee engagement strategy to create a culture of improvement and operational excellence within the civil service. Brent is also the author of ‘Starting Lean from Scratch’ and Lean Black Belt certified with Lean Sensei International.
