Established in 1951, AGI Westfield is the largest grain auger manufacturer in the world. Learn about Westfield's journey into robotic welding, starting in 2007 with the recognition of the need for robots, to commissioning the first robot, to where Westfield is today with 12 robots operating at industry-leading arc-on time, paying for themselves in under one year. Hear about robotic material handling and custom robot cells, how to get started, building a business case, maximizing output and the challenges and lessons learned along the way.

Steve Alexander, Operations Manager

Steve Alexander is the Operations Manager at AGI Westfield, leading the Production, Lean, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering departments. Steve is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence, always looking to find a better way to deliver results. Steve holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in business administration both from the University of Manitoba. Outside of work, Steve enjoys the outdoors, anything with a motor, and most recently spending time with his newborn daughter June.
