DESCRIPTION
This session highlights a collaborative approach to accelerating technology adoption in Atlantic Canada’s manufacturing sector. CME, AI-4-Manufacturing, and Keyin Technical College have come together to form a practical, end-to-end support system for companies looking to modernize their operations—starting with diagnostics and ending in real-world implementation.
It begins with CME working directly with manufacturers to assess their current state and identify the technologies that can help them meet their business objectives. When artificial intelligence (AI) is part of the solution, companies are then connected to AI4M, specializing in accessible, unbiased, and Canadian-focused AI education. Through workshops and foundational training, manufacturers gain a clearer understanding of how AI can support their operations. The final component brings in Keyin Technical College to develop tailored programs in partnership with participating companies. Learners—whether employees or new students—move through training, hands-on implementation, and complete a capstone project that addresses a real business challenge. After completing the capstone, companies can return to CME or AI4M to integrate the project outcomes into their operations or seek further development.
With over 360 seats available and more than 140 already filled, this initiative is building momentum and setting the stage for meaningful digital transformation across the region.
