The IPCO manufacturing facility has a long history of supporting the agricultural sector by providing safe crop protection products within a culture of safety and quality. Hear about the factors behind IPCO’s decision to adopt Lean Manufacturing, the road blocks encountered and the steps taken to keep moving forward. Learn how IPCO uses Hoshin Kanri to align the organization, 5S to create a safe and productive work environment and is using a Lean & Green strategy to improve environmental performance, while continuing to focus on engaging employees and improving the work culture.

Mei Chung-Lewis, Agri Products Manager

Mei Chung-Lewis, Agri Products Manager, has a M.Sc. in Microbiology and has been with IPCO since 2016. Mei oversees operations and works closely with the IPCO Board. Prior to IPCO she worked at various pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Mei has extensive experience leading production, laboratory and quality disciplines.

Wes Budakowski, Production Manager

Wes Budakowski has a M.Sc. in Chemistry and has been with IPCO since 2011. He transitioned into the Production Manager role at IPCO in 2018, and has completed the Lean for Leaders course (CME). Prior to IPCO he worked 9 years for K’Prime Technologies as a sales and service account manager. Wes previously served as president of the Mid-Canada section of AOAC International, and is co-author on several scientific publications.
