The 3P (Production, Preparation, Process) method allows cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, validate, and deploy radical improvement in product and process design. In contrast to incremental “kaizen” efforts that modify an existing process, 3P starts from a clean development slate and entails the rapid design of production processes that can help organizations meet business and customer requirements. The results can drive huge competitive advantage, and apply in a variety of areas – from the supply chain and value stream design to facilities and services.

In this workshop, attendees experience a 3P project through an interactive, case study-based learning approach. Ultimately, attendees will gain an understanding of 3P thinking and techniques, opening new avenues for ratcheting up the level of intellectual value embedded in their future product and process designs.
